Protect our Children Act passes!

Dear Amy:
Just minutes ago, Congress passed the PROTECT Our Children Act.
It was a long, hard campaign… one that started with committed PROTECT members like you and then grew to over half a million Americans after it was featured on the Oprah Winfrey show. Many Washington insiders said we would never win. We wanted you to be the first to know that we did!
As our campaign showed America, law enforcement now knows how to locate and stop hundreds of thousands of criminals who assault children and traffic in child pornography. But despite years of empty rhetoric from politicians, less than 2% of these cases are even being investigated. That begins to change today, with the passage of the PROTECT Our Children Act.
In the coming days, we’ll share many of the details about this landmark bill and how it was passed. But we didn’t want you to wait to hear this news. Please take time today to celebrate what we’ve accomplished together, because this never would have happened without you!

I couldn’t be more thrilled at this news! Kudos to all who fought to push it through and kudos to Congress for recognizing the magnitude of the issue.

I have never fought so hard, politically, for anything in my life. After being exposed to the incomprehensible reality of so many innocent children’s lives; I was devastated to my core being. I have two small children,of my own, and everytime I looked at them I thought of all the babies out there that needed me to do everything I could, for them. I brought in thirty letters, to my congressmen, that I know of and a potential for very many more. I felt such a victory for those beautiful little children enduring such vicious torture. I felt a little less helpless, last week, in the fight against “true evil.”

tess - that’s an amazing story! thank you for sharing it. i know how you feel…it just feel so good to fight for our little innocent people. they truly deserve our protection. really, it shouldn’t even be up for vote! our kids just need all of the protection we can provide.

I was so happy to hear that the Protect Our Children Act passed, I almost cried. Hopefully our children will now have the protection they need against these on line pedophiles. May God help the sick pedophiles fight this deplorable behavior so they can leave our precious children alone.
