Huggies Pure & Natural Diapers

I was sent a pack of Huggies’ new line of diapers called “pure & natural” to try out on the new sprout.  Well, I couldn’t just let the pack sit there without taking one of these newborn-size diapers out to get a first-hand look and feel of it.  The hubs and I have been tossing back and forth this itty bitty diaper for a couple of weeks now.  We’re still sort of in disbelief that we’re going to have another baby small enough to actually use it.

It’s.  So.  Tiny.

Not only is it super small (because it’s the newborn size), it’s very, very soft.  One of the softest disposable diapers I have ever felt.  I can’t imagine it will be anything other than comfy on our new baby girl.

Now, I have to admit, we are leaning the cloth diapering way this time around for many reasons but I will say, I was interested enough in this new line by Huggies that I have no problem at all giving them a try.

If you still have little ones in diapers, up to a size 5, here are some official stats about Huggies pure & natural for you to consider.  These diapers:

  • are hypoallergenic
  • are fragrance free
  • have organic cotton included in their breathable outer cover
  • have a liner that includes natural Aloe & Vitamin E and materials from renewable sources
  • outer packaging is sourced from 20 percent post-consumer recycled materials

It’s safe to say that Huggies is thinking about the environment with this new line.  They have to.  That’s the way the world is going.  It only makes sense.

Huggies pure & natural diapers are available at major retailers now.  They are brand new on the market as of this past April, 2009.  I imagine I will pick up a few more packs of these diapers along the way because I’m sure it never hurts to have some disposables around even if we end up exclusively cloth diapering.

If you’re interested in trying them out yourself, you can go to www.HuggiesPureandNatural.com and request free samples.

One more thing to make you aware of, Huggies has a new “rewards” program in place.  It’s called “Enjoy the Ride Rewards.  You can get points numerous different ways.  Just stop by the website and check out the details.

Thank you for the update on the Pure and Natural diapers. We’ve received numerous Huggies Diapers, but don’t yet have any of the Pure and Natural ones. We’ll likely try them along with the rest that we’ve received to see if they’re a good fit for our child. We only have a few more weeks before the diapers are really needed.

Yes, thank you for your update. I’m going to be a Mommy of two, yes, count them, two all-vinyl anatomically correct newborn baby girl dolls in a couple of weeks (one is 21″ long and the other is 22″ long, and both are play babies, not reborns), and I’ve already bought two packs of the Huggies Pure & Natural Size Newborn diapers at my local Smith’s supermarket for my 21″ baby. And if my local Walmart store has them, I’ll be buying two packs of the Size 1 diapers for my 22″ baby in a couple of weeks (along with two packs of the Luvs Size Newborn for my 21″ baby just because I’ve been wanting to try them out as well). These Huggies Pure & Natural diapers are oh so cute! I love Winnie the Pooh, so these diapers will actually coordinate with all of my babies’ Winnie the Pooh outfits (and I plan on buying more Winnie the Pooh outfits very soon at Target, along with more diapers). But what I love most about Huggies Pure & Natural diapers is that they are both eco-friendly AND convenient, so you can actually feel good about the environment while using disposable diapers. Bye-bye guilt! I just have one little complaint, however, and that is the stretchy sides don’t seem stretchy enough. I’m glad they stretch, though, but for a real infant with a chubby belly, this could pose a problem in trying to get the diaper to fit around your baby’s waist and belly, especially if your baby kicks and squirms as all babies do during diaper changes. You may have to buy the next largest size (for an example, if your newborn is a Size 1, you may need a Size 2) if you want that perfect fit. But other than that, I think these diapers are absolutely PERFECT, and I’m going to start using them on my two baby dolls exclusively as soon as I’m done using Pampers and Luvs (I currently have Pampers Baby Dry Size 1 and Curity Size 1, and I soon plan on buying and using Luvs Newborn and Size 1 and Pampers Swaddlers Size 1, plus I’d like to stock up on more Huggies Pure & Natural Newborn and Size 1 as well). I am NEVER going back to regular Huggies again! Thanks, Huggies!
